I'm Salim Rahman, the CEO of ShopNDeli (testing phase). In the year of 2022, I was into software developing for my clients, while my son Ifreet Salim was studying in the eleventh standard with the aim to become a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) with my suggestion. One day he came to me about his career plans and how he wants to get into entrepreneurship, while I saw that the CPA route was safer for him. Ifreet proposed an idea for a platform he wanted to create, as all the knowledge he gained from studying is of no use if he can’t put it into a project he is passionate about.
Ifreet denoted that 80% of the consumers market globally is still physical, and that a platform should be provided so that customers can reduce wastage of time for visiting shops and shopkeepers can gain more traffic. While most e-commerce websites focused on taking products from sellers and showcasing it to online consumers, Ifreet intends to present the whole shop and its products in one platform so that shopkeepers can maintain their own identity. Therefore, this platform aim to tap into the 80% physical market of shopkeepers and allow them to present their products to customers. This platform will also help in quicker decision making for customers, as they can see which shop has their desired product, and then they can make the commute to that specific shop only. This is a better alternative compared to travelling to multiple different stores to search for the product the customer wants. Thus, the customer saves time and is able to find their wanted product swiftly.
His ideas opened me to the idea of e-commerce, and how my skills could help to bring this idea into fruition. This platform will also be a vessel for my son to do further research in, and expand his knowledge on consumer markets. I and my whole team were very excited for the future of this innovative platform and how Ifreet’s knowledge and eagerness would help it become a transformative project, via which we can reduce wastage on all fronts for both buyers and sellers.We took the next step for a new business and new brand, by naming our platform ShopNDeli, which will help all parties of the shopping tradition that all consumers hold dearly to their heart.
